<Poem>

<Translation>
Have I, a roamer, ever drifted into dreams?
The opaque autumnal sky never would turn blue!
Sieving through bamboo screens the setting moon light streams;
Murmuring under my pillows the far-away river flows.
I have no way to manage my meal and clothes,
In the tight corner I depend upon my friend.
I shall write some sheets of paper to my old spouse,
So she will know why I'm not home and here detained.
